Prenatal Visits (Before your baby is born)
Morning Star Pediatrics encourages prenatal visits for expecting parents with the doctor. Please check our "News" section on when the next opportunity is. This free visit will give the parents the opportunity to:
discuss the care philosophy of the doctor
get basic questions answered such as breast feeding versus formula, vaccination schedule, car seats and other basic questions
get some insight into what to expect in the first few days after the baby is born
At Delivery
Dr. Thomas will provide newborn care if you choose to deliver your baby at Baylor McKinney or Texas Health Presbyterian in Allen. You will need to let the hospital know who the chosen doctor is.
Upon discharge, please call our office to schedule the first visit. It is also important to contact your insurance company to get your child added to your respective insurance plan.
Office Visit Schedule
For the first visit, please bring all of the discharge paperwork. We follow the American Academy of Pediatrics recommendation for your baby's well child visits. Please also refer to the Immunization page for our philosophy on vaccines:
