We welcome you to Morning Star Pediatrics in Allen, where your child’s health is of utmost importance. We provide comprehensive care of children from newborn to 18 years of age.
Serving Allen, Fairview, Lucas, McKinney, Plano and Surrounding Areas in North Dallas.

How does our office compare to others:
Our current average score measured by Pediatric Partners for the past year is 93% (national average is 84%). Surveys are done directly by Pediatric Partners with the patient families without our knowledge of the patients (we just see the results). There are 30 parameters measured but the key measures are:
- Performance for well patient care by the doctor
- Our office’s relationship with patient families
- Overall experiences with our office,
- Coordination of care and patient education – roughly 30 parameters.
Our Association with Children’s Health:
Morning Star Pediatrics is proud to be part of Pediatric Partners by Children’s Health℠ which is the region’s premier pediatric integrated network. This group of 350+ physicians have a common goal in mind to position themselves as the best in their field. The mission is threefold:

Cigna Care Designated Provider:
We are happy to announce that Dr. Thomas is now a Cigna Care Designation provider (i.e. a preferred Cigna physician). This distinguishes network doctors who practice in one of the specialties reviewed and who meet quality and cost-efficiency measures established by Cigna.

We are currently accepting new patients. Our office welcomes prospective patient families to visit with the Doctor and see if it fits your philosophy for a child’s medical home. Call our office to schedule a visit.
Hospital Privileges:
Dr. Thomas is an attending physician at Baylor Scott & White McKinney and Texas Health Allen. Please call our office if your child has been admitted in another hospital other than these two so that Dr. Thomas and her staff can be updated.
Sutha Thomas, MD, FAAP
Experienced and Dedicated for Your Child’s Well Being
Dr. Thomas has been practicing medicine since 1998, initially in Chicagoland till 2007 and thereafter in DFW metroplex. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics, a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics and an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). Dr. Thomas completed her residency in Pediatrics at Helen Devos Children’s Hospital (aka Butterworth Hospital) in Grand Rapids Michigan – affiliated with Michigan State University.
Dr. Thomas was raised in Canada in the picturesque city of Kingston, Ontario. She has lived on and off in the DFW metroplex since 1989. Dr. Thomas is a local resident of Allen where she lives with her husband and 2 children. During her free time she loves to read, is active in her local church and is involved with her kids activites.
Besides her gentleness with patient care, her passion is to use the practice to build relationships with the families, educate, and follow her patients through the different stages of their young lives. Dr. Thomas has keen interest and experience in managing the following areas: ADHD/ADD, Sensory Integration Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and the complete care of an internationally adopted child.
