Covid-19 (Coronavirus) – What Our office is doing

Morning Star Pediatrics will be OPEN during this trying time for our nation and community as we battle the Coronavirus crisis. Continuity of care with your trusted provider is essential so rest assured that we are taking all possible precautions as per CDC guidelines and incorporating tools such as telemedicine to better serve our community.  As such, we have implemented the following steps:

1) OFFICE VISITS: We are separating the well visit and sick visit care where, well will be in the morning with designated rooms while sick will be in the afternoon with designated rooms. Thorough sanitizing of each of the rooms occur after each patient visit as usual and in addition, the office is deep cleaned several times a day.  The staff is being monitored closely as well to see if they exhibit any symptoms. If there are extenuating circumstances to these rules for your family, then please contact our office for further advice.

2) ATTIRE: Proper infection control will be managed with the use of approved attire.  This includes approved masks, goggles, gloves and gowns. We ask that you prepare your child accordingly so that they are not overwhelmed.

3) TELEMEDICINE: We have implemented telemedicine to care for patients on a case-by-case basis as determined by the doctor.
